Fishing

My sister who lives in Yokohama independently working as a nurse came back home for a few days.
We hadn't met her for over a year so thought of going somewhere and doing something together.
We eventually decided to go to Amakusa for fishing since my sister and father loves it.
We were going to charter a boat but, unfortunately, it was pretty bad weather so we had to give it up. Howevwe we still went to Amakusa to fishi over the bridge which is technically illegal. We enjoyed fishing from after noon to early evening and ended up catching about 10 fish to be our dinner at that night. It was really good.

Book Review "Ali and his CAMERA"

I read "Ali and his CAMERA" this time. The story is set in Istanbul, Turkey and about a boy who likes photoes. His name is Ali and he lives with his parents.
Ali always pretendded to take photoes because he didn't have a camera. So he decided to make money and buy a camera by himself. He erned money by carrying someone's baggage to their houses, someone who is shopping at the market.
Someday he met a woman whose name is Mrs.Yildiz. He carried her shopping bag to her flat and unexpectedly, she gave him a camera that her son used to use before as a taken of her thank. Her son is a grown-up now and a photographer.
He is very happy to at last get a camera and learns how to take good photoes. In the end of the story, a photo he took was on the newspaper and he got a job for a newspaper company.

I think Ali is a strong guy because there is a scene that he happened to be robbed on the street and his saved money was all stolen by a robber. When this happened, he didn't tell anyone about it, even not to his parents. And he started working to save money again from nothing. He never gave up or depended on anyone.
And this book tells us that if you make an effort, you will have what you want.
I think it is a good story.

My favorite place in Kumamoto

One of my favorite places in Kumamoto is the restaurant called Latinos. It's a Mexican restaurant. It is in the underground of the building which has the restaurant I work for on its 2nd and 3rd floor. I often go to Latinos staright after work with my colleague or friends.
I like the place because it has a nice atmosphere. It's a little dark inside and has a big mirror on the wall. They also have, ofcourse, nice dishes and many kinds of beer from all over the world:Germany, Mexico, America, and Japan. Most of the waiters speak Spanish and sometimes they play latin music inside the restaurant. They'er all friendly people.
I used to live in the city where a lot of Mexican people live in USA so Latinos reminds me the things which happened to me there. It's a good place to eat and hang out.

Book Review "New York"

This week, I read the book named "New York". I picked this book beause I like New York a lot. I visited Manhattan last winter and it was awsome. I was totally overwhelmed and just loved that place. I think I want to live there someday in the future.
This book's about NY's history, geography, transportatinon, famous spots, people, food and some more. They are all summarized with simple sentences in the book and I thought it's quick way to know about the city briefly.
What I was surprised the most was about its history. It said Manhattan was sold at only 24 dollars by the naitive inidians to Dutch 400 years ago. If I were alive at that time, I would have bought it for 30 dollars and Manhattan was all mine or my family's.
I think one of the biggest attraction of NY's (not only NY's but also America's), to me, is that unbelievably many different kinds of people live together. Thought it is very unusual for me because the most who lives in Japan is Japanese, it's nothing surprising there.

Book Review"Hulk"

The main character Bruce is different from others since he was a child. He had no friends at school. One day in his childhood, he got angry at school since some boys were teasing him, his body hurt and he saw bumps under his skin. He can’t get angry because he would be dangerous when he gets angry.
After he grew up, he started work in a lab and met a woman called Betty. He liked her very much. Even though Bruce was attracted to Betty, it didn’t work out since she had a fiancé. His name is Glen. Bruce didn’t like Glen because he works for the company which tried to buy his lab, not only for being Betty’s fiancé. They wanted to give Bruce’s work to the army. One day, Glen visited Bruce to talk bout buying his lab and Bruce got angry. His body turned green and he became Hulk. Hulk threw Glen away out of the window and ran away.
Hulk is very big and strong. Bruce becomes Hulk when he gets angry because he got something like gamma ray when he was a baby. The army tried to get Hulk for its investigation but Bruce escaped and started living in some foreign country in the end of the story.

I have seen the movie "Hulk" before and it was little difficult for me to understand the story completely. Since this book is written with very simple and easy expressinon only, I understood the whole things of the story. It made me want to watch the movie again.
I kind of feel sorry for Bruce because that's not what he wanted to have the special power, becoming Hulk. It's out of his control and mekes him alone.

Today I had the first class of Writing-4 which I failed last year. As I entered the room, I found some of my friend who failed last year's class like me.
